I'd sort your horse out first before you start shooting arrows from it's back. It took me nearly a year before I could keep one of ours from panicing at the sound of the arrow

There was a guy in the USA who couldn't ride a horse so used a ride on mower. Just think, get your club to buy one and you could not only shoot but you would also keep the shooting ground pristine :)

I would willing pay much money to see Daffter riding around a field on the back of a mower shooting a horse bow.

... and then I would want a shot!

How much fun would that be....even better would be to get a trailer - kinda similar to an ancient tank!!!!

...... hmmmmm..... we have a trailer which we use to put the bosses out..... my son has been playing surfing when bringing it back down the range..... I think it might be worth setting up a few targets and getting the jelly bow out and seeing if we could try this trailer archery for a club fun event.

Hey Darth,
I have a Grozer Scythian. His website is great. Very informative, I spend ages on it dreaming about having loads of cash to buy loads of bows!
He explains the history of the various peoples and bows.
He is also quick to point out that horse bows aren't limited to horseback use, although I reckon the constabulary would have something to say about Harley riding archery on the Queens highways!
So check out grozerarchery.com
Have fun

Hello. I just joined the site :)

Anyway, I just finished this bow:

It's similar in style to the Crimean-Tartar bows...

Hi Jhoneil,

I recognise this bow from the Spitfire Forum. Looks better everytime I see it.

Hey thanks Yew Selfbow :)

Those arrows I made a long time ago. They are pretty but they are not very straight. I used them strictly as "models" for my pictures :)
