Kaya K3 Limbs?

Hi,

I will be upgrading my limbs soon and am eyeing the Kaya K3 limbs. Does anyone have any experience with these limbs? Would you recommend that I get these limbs or something else? (but please make sure that the "something else" is still around the price, or lower, than the K3).

Thanks!

Im no expert of kaya, but my logic says that if no one in the world ranking is using kaya it probably isn't that good, I would just recomend to go safe and buy hoyt or win & win.

if you are looking for something more friendly to your wallet you can go with the carbon 720 (hoyt) or Winex ( win&win)

Kaya is very popular with top international Barebows, I had the Tropics and now the KStorms, good performance. stable and very smooth to draw. I got the KStorm for Indoors and they're set at 40#, the Border CV-H is 42# which I use mainly for Field/3D both limbs use the same crawls out to 60y the CV's still feel faster but the KStorm feels softer/smoother to draw, CV's are short and KStorm Med limb so that might be the reason.

I had issue with limb fit with the KStorms on my Vanquish riser (ok on the Moon riser), all I had to do was turn in the bolts a few turns and problem solved.

Mauro Nespoli took team gold using K7 limbs at 2012 London games.

But the Hoyt 720 are nearly ?60 more than the Kayas as are the Winex's .... ?
Personally I don't rate the 720's too well, 2 new archers in the club went to a shop for their first set of gear but found that a few sets of 720's they tried were twisted straight from the box. Not the first time I'd heard that. Bad batch maybe ? Anyway..

The Kaya K3's are a very nice limb indeed for the money (approx ?160-?180) Other limbs in that price range that are excellent and worth looking at are the SF Elite Carbon Foams at about ?150.
The Mybo Synergy Carbon limbs are ?180 and are very new to the market but I've not seen many reviews on those yet, but they are all positive.

I have a pair of Kaya K3 limbs @34lbs for indoor shooting. I like them very much. Nice to draw. I would recommend them.

On my original bow had the 32lb Kaya K1 limbs, then looked at upgrading to K3's Ended up buying the SF Elite limbs @ 4lb heavier. No regrets at my choice.
At this price range the limbs are pretty close performance wise & construction But at ?150 the SF's were slightly cheaper.
Was shooting a couple of days ago with a guy trying with the Mybo carbo Synergy's & he rated them "ok" as he's reduced poundage while he gets over a shoulder injury-shoots ?400 Border limbs normally. So if he says OK that cant be bad otherwise he would have just said "####" as he doesn't mince his words!

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, the Win&Wins and Hoyts are beyond what I am willing to pay for.

Thanks for the input. It's nice to know that Kaya Limbs are trusted by olympians.
Storms are right now beyond my price range. But I am currently using the K1s and I love them. Really smooth draw for its range. It's good to know that this is still a feature in the more expensive limbs by Kaya.

Precisely my thought on the W&W and Hoyt. Thank you for the reply, I really appreciate your input and suggestions.

Thank you, that is comforting to know. I'm currently using the K1 limbs and I really like them. Great that it is so for the K3. I found it rather curious that I couldn't find many reviews for the K3. Thanks for putting that concern to rest.

I have looked into the SF Elites but found that I can get the K3 cheaper by a fraction. I found many good reviews for the SF Elites and am now in the dilemma of SF Elite vs K3 Limbs. Further thoughts?

Thank you all!
