Well finished the beginners course today which was great and big thanks again to NAC for making it a really good and fun learning experience.
The personal achievement bit is I got to shoot one of the clubs longbows for a few ends, nailing mostly 9s and 10s.
granted it was a 30lb bow at about 10 yards so pretty hard to miss but still a happy bunny especially with how natural it felt.

We don't get to make french kebabs anymore, mores the pity ;)

Freestyle isn't just more fun to shoot, it's also more fun to research/plan your wishlist for (and find loadsa 'tube vidz for).

- Just wait until you're shooting the same distance as your Olympic heroes, with a bow that looks (to the non-shooter) identical. MAN what a feeling!

...anyway, if you're *that* much of a history phreak, you should throw away your 'puter, learn Latin & illuminate parchment :boxedin:

Pahaha there is always the zombie apocalypse to replace the french.
I struggle enough with the queens English, schoolboy french is about my limit.
I?m convinced enough that a sight is handy it?ll take some time to get me onto the dalek weapon attachments.
But at least you?re not trying to lure me over to them funny looking scooters

That?s Nu Sensei right? I?ll have to give that a watch, I?ve been watching quite a few of his vids and they are good and informative, and a nice change from the multitude of septic archery vids that are a bit ?rambo? for my taste.
Scholia gladiatoria does some interesting vids too
