Questions about RX7/X23 for indoors

Hello.

I'm currently shooting with my X10 for indoors but I don't have any aluminium arrows for indoor's shoot. I'm planning to get RX7 or X23 for next indoor season.

I can't find any charts for RX7/X23. I have 70 inch limbs and pulling 40lbs. My arrows length are 29. Which spines should I choose?
Also what you're recomended for choosing fletches or sizes on RX7/X23?

Thanks

Sam

the easton chart on their website would suggest either the RX22 or the RX 21 (40lb is one of their crossover poundages) so it might be an idea to ask at the shop as other equipment factors might come into play whether you'd want one shaft over the other.

I'm not sure you will get X23 to tune, unless you go for super heavy points. My X2312s are 33.5" long (un cut) tune with 120g points with 41lb and 29" draw length. They are okay but so slow and require a rest setup change from inside to outside arrows. I do have an indoor and outdoor bow which helps but have gone to ACCs indoors. They seem a good compromise. Well enough to shoot a 569 portsmouth yesterday, barebow :)
... oh and 4" feathers - no contact issues at all.

Here the chart with rx7

Rx7 can be better than the x23, they use a lighter point
Even with 46# my x23 are really slow and not forgiving at all

. 525 or. 475 for you, I'd prefer a weak shaft for those big arrows

For an easy tuning I recommend to start with a neutral center shot, just in the middle of the string

That's a very impressive Portsmouth score, I'm one of the top barebow in our county (indoors, I just can't seem to get the outdoors right) and my PB is 551.

Just be aware if you are looking for a 9.3 (2315) max diameter shaft a RX7 525 is only a 2114 a 475 is a 2214 in diameter.

At your specification a 525 with std nibb point and 4" feathers is a starting point, but you still might have add a bit of additional weight at the front and keep them a bit longer.

I thought the idea of RX7 is that they do not require being longer or using heavier points? So you can cut to your normal length and use standard points? I have yet to find anyone that has tried them though so do not know whether that works out in reality.

I found RX7s very good indeed on the three spot face, however on a single indoor face they are prone to damage with tight groups. Get a few and try them out before you buy a dozen or so.
