    Angel Direct

Has anyone else had any issues ordering from Angel Direct in recent months? I ordered a new quiver back in November, taking note of the message on the website to say that they had lots of orders in the factory and that it could be 90-100 days or more before they can ship. I chased the order up...

    All the fours...

A couple of months to catch up on. After the AOR Portsmouth in Jan, there was nearly a month before my club?s open Portsmouth on 24th Feb. All the way through the season I?ve shot most Monday and Thursday lunchtimes at Indoor Archery Ltd, and at the club most Thursday evenings. On 16th Feb, I...

    Serves me right?!

My first competition back yesterday, went exactly as it should have. The fact that I even mentioned shooting an arrow off of the top of my button in my last post, and how I didn?t win a competition because of it, means that of course, that was how this was going to go. I even said in the post...

    A blog entry! 2014 - 2018 Part 3.

Last September the itchiness started again after watching Jamie win gold with the GB team, and especially when I found out about Indoor Archery Ltd. I?m not 100% sure, being sort of out of the loop for a while but, I?d say there can?t be many if any other dedicated archery shooting ranges in the...

    A blog entry! 2014 - 2018 Part 2.

The bow went away again then until August 2016. Setting up a target in our new garage, tried to get in there most evenings after putting Harriet to bed. Now working in Little Billing, Northampton meant it would be tricky time-wise to get to Brampton to shoot with Duston Bowmen. So upon...

    A blog entry! 2014 - 2018 Part 1.

Wow... I?ve written a blog entry. First since September 2014! I?ve tried numerous times to do this over the last few years, and this is made up of several parts of several previous attempts. In reading back through a lot of my old posts, I?m so glad I started this blog originally back in...

    Plucking away...

First blog in a few months. Last one being just before the 2nd Caswell in July, which I retired from after just a couple of ends. I never shoot well at Targetcrafts ground at Desborough. It?s a weird field. Down hill slightly, always windy, and sight marks are always way way off. I wasn?t...

    Go 90...

Shot quite a lot over the past week or so. The weekend before, on a perfect Sunday morning, I got up early went up to Lutterworth and shot another quick FITA. Again 9 arrow ends at 90, 70 and 50, and 6 at 30. Using iArcher to score 9 arrows each time means I end up with a higher than average end...

    Cambs WA1440

Been a few weeks since the last my last Dear Bloggy entry. Can?t remember much of what I did a week or so ago other than tuning the new X10?s, which took all of two ends. Thankfully they were pretty much spot on, bareshafts with the fletchies at 40 yards, and just about left of them at 70m...

    Can't think of a title...

With the weather being so pants all last week, I didn?t shoot at all until Monday. The rest took the edge off a little so I just chucked them at 40y, Tuesday also. Wet again on Wednesday, but nice yesterday morning. Stuck an 80cm face at 40y shooting 120 arrows, which felt ok, some decent...

    Hooked?

Starting with last Thursday, the weather was nice in the morning so shot a Long Metric. Took my time, 6 arrow ends. Had a couple of ends of sighters to bed in a new string. Been shooting off the shelf Nitro strings since March. I say strings plural as i?m already on my fourth, they don?t last...

    Two hour FITA...

No shooting over the weekend, had a bit of cold and didn?t really feel like it. Might have shot on Sunday morning had the weather been better. Shot Monday morning and yesterday. Monday was quite windy so mainly stayed at 40y shooting from behind the car. Yesterday wasn?t too bad so I shot a few...

    Mornings are a breeze...

Shot quite a lot this week, although i?ve had to force myself a bit with it being a bit colder and breezy. Tricky to tell just how windy the field is going to be. I tend to look out the window when I wake up and if it?s dry i?ll carry on, if it?s wet i?m back to bed. If when I take the dog for...

    1st Caswell

A long but fun day yesterday in Kettering for the NCAS 1st Caswell shoot. Great weather all day, really warm at times. Target 1 on the right side of the field with Jamie Mason (com), Ian Hannaford (rec) and James Farmer (com). The shoot was really well attended, full I think with over 70...

    A good 720...

Shoot a nice 720 this morning. Shot it properly, 6 arrow ends. Nice and still no wind. Felt good. Nearly every first arrow each end was either a 10 or close. Most of the 7's and blues were low. Pretty sure it's because i'm lifting my head slightly occasionally, especially on the tired ones.
