Well that's the problem. Most of us are considering giving up the target club and we don't want them involved with us shooting in the woods as we know that the people running the target club would start interfering. They know that we are shooting in the wood and I don't think it will come as any...

I suppose it could be the negative experience we have had with the target club we are currently members of and I guess we could be called a club of sorts. We have all agreed that we don't want a hierarchical system where one persons opinion is stronger than someone else's. As for benefits of...

For a couple of reasons Ben; 1) We don't want to form a "club" as such and want to keep it as just a few friends shooting socially. That way we can keep control of numbers and reduce hassle. There are currently nine of us and we don't want to go much beyond that. We definitely don't want a...

I and a few pals have hired a wood to shoot field archery in. We are all members of Archery GB but had the same problem as you with insurance. I found a company on the web that gives instant cover very reasonably. You can have just Public Liability or add personal cover as well...

    Crooked String on Limb Tip

I have a Black Hunter take down hybrid bow which came with a slightly twisted upper limb. The seller sent me another pair of perfect limbs but if anything, the limbs with the slight twist shoot better. Strange but true.

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

I shot it at the woods yesterday ( Wednesday) and the increase in BH and nock point worked well. I didn't hit one tree:D and the arrows went in the area I was shooting at. I'll fiddle with it a bit more yet until I get as close to perfect as I can. I really enjoyed shooting in the woods with it...

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

Thanks for your response Andy. Obviously Sunday was my first shoot with the bow and I'm sure that I will get better once I sort out the brace height and nock points. The recommended brace height is 8 to 8.75 inches from the back of the bow, ie the side furthest away from you. I've never known a...

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

I shot my new Osprey for the first time today and I love it. It was indoors over 20 yards at a 60cm face. I'll be shooting it in the woods later this week. Believe it or not my first arrow went into the gold and I thought " Keep them there". Alas not all the following arrows went to the same bed...

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

The Osprey has landed. I picked it up this afternoon but won't be able to shoot it until Sunday. I'll reveal all them Andy. I've got to say it is a thing of beauty and if it shoots as well as it looks I'll be a happy bunny.

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

I'm still waiting. Andy. I spoke to KG yesterday (Wednesday) and they said they will get it out this week so fingers crossed. I'll let you know how it shoots as soon as possible.

    KG Falcon - thoughts?

I'm waiting for my Osprey to arrive, hopefully this week. I'll comment on handshock once I get it although I didn't notice any at all when I shot the bow in the shop.

    The dreaded clicker...

I have two clickers, a silver Beiter and a Mybo. The Mybo is definitely a little louder and easy to hear. The Beiter can be very quiet, especially outdooors.
