    NFAS

It wasn't put back on when they revamped the website. My guess is that it was shall we say "problematic" for the committee of the time due to some of the views expressed there. It was extremely fun and i miss it a lot. Oh the Halcyon days of baiting ageing lignophiles - fond memories.

    Rangefinder

I've got a Nikon Prostaff 7i which is superb but I went through a series of "cheaper" range finders which were quite frankly not good enough. I had a higher end Bushnell which was good but the Prostaff came up at the right price so it got swapped. IMO skimping on the rangefinder is false...

    Shooting pellets vs arrows

It is 300fps whenever you type anything, these posts never die.

    Shooting pellets vs arrows

Kernowlad, lol, I'm sure you meant to say exactly 300fps and not a fps more. You did swap to NFAS remember.

Wanted - long draw compound bow

Off the top of my head the PSE freak goes that long. A quick google would point you to others.

    Arrows for field

I cut my 500 Victory Vforces down to 26.5 / 27 can't remember which and they were a bit twitchy so went onto 400 Goldtip velocities at about 28. I was a bit too preoccupied with speed when i chopped the Victories. Always meant to try VAPs but could never bite the bullet and change my rest...

    AGB Membership Fees 20/21

I was thinking the other way round, we might be good enough to take on your field side. I don't think the circle killing would be of any interest. But seriously, who knows - we'll see, but i certainly ain't going to be paying the fees you guys stump up every year. However, inter society comps...

    AGB Membership Fees 20/21

+1, I'm very happy to pay my membership but worryingly we have just had it announced that the CE of the misnamed society will be giving a presentation at our AGM. Maybe the little fish wants to join the big pond. lol. No more camo and big knives - doesn't bear thinking about.

    Some good news at last

An article i read once advocated Vit D for archers (can' remember where / who ) as most people are deficient to a greater or lesser extent in the darker months and it's great for nerve health. Personally i go over the recommended 10mcg/day in winter and up it to 25.

    Archery UK Magazine

Der. Sorry guys wrong magazine - was talking about Bow International - I forgot the name temporarily.

    Archery UK Magazine

I had a subscription for a year (cancelled a few months back) from a field archers perspective it's simply wasted money, they had the odd couple of articles but nothing approaching the very well put together field archery news online mag.

A couple of issues; sight and nocks

Kernowlad, That is the joy of field. The course layer knows some are using sights so will put a target in a dark place. Quite often very well lit peg going into a very dark target area (but you know this). Best thing you can do is to learn a bit of instinctive compound. When shoots run over...

A couple of issues; sight and nocks

For loose nocks push them into the shaft through a piece of one of the flimsier shopping bags then just rip/trim the excess off.

    Twisting string

I've always found them to be great - long winded and hurty yes, but still great. I picked up a 2nd hand Kaya a few years back which is my go to but i still use the Bowmaster as insurance when using the Kaya.

    Twisting string

Kernowlad, I fitted one of the peeps with the rubber band attached to the string because I'm lazy.

Repairing Monsterbows Phoenix (leverbow) - needs powerlimbs.

I think I'm now going to be on the lookout for another second hand bow when this Covid kak is over. I really like the sound of these, I'd dismissed them up until now purely due to ignorance. Thanks both.

Repairing Monsterbows Phoenix (leverbow) - needs powerlimbs.

Geoffretired sort of answered the question i didn't ask. In my head i was thinking it wouldn't have let off due to being a no cam so i couldn't see the advantage over a recurve aside from it looks very cool. Do you know approximately what % let off you get at FD for the camless and with cam...
