Target lighting, what to use, what do you use?

Not posted anything here for ages but here goes... We have just had to move our indoor range from our hall, A parachute drying "shed" on an old US airbase and have because of development, been given an alternative venue on the same field, An aircraft hangar of the half round type. The problem...

    Nibb point weight?

Just a simple question, Does anybody know the weight of a 1814 (to fit an X7 shaft) nib point? as I need to add more weight to make my too stiff arrows fly well but I don't know the weight of the points I have now and don't have a set of scales sensitive enough to weigh them accurately enough.

    Help! new cams or repair?

I have an old Merlin Shadow, twin cam ( rapid cam) and the problem is that the peg which holds the string and bus cable on the top cam separated from the main body of the cam on the release! The fact I had an arrow on the string and the other bus cable probably saved the limbs from catastrophic...

And now, the end is near.....

The end of another indoor season that is, :optimist: I Won't be at our clubs first outdoor shoot but that doesn't mean I wont be shooting as we have got a County team coaching session on the same day. Hopefully I will be able to do well enough to retain my place on the team this year but if...

Bieter Pin Nocks, Why so long?

I'm Just wondering why, when pin nocks have been available for so long, has it taken Bieter up until now to update its its excellent nocking point system by adding an arrow nock which fits a pin! I have used the Bieter nocking points on the string for some time now but have not had a pin nock...

    Trials and Tribulations.

It's been a while since my last entry but that won't stop me wondering how bad things have to get before I improve and things get better, but there is hope.... The Indoor season started the same way as the previous year where I began well enough, shot a PB, then went downhill, then pulled it...

    Up and Down and.....

After My last Entry I have had a mixed bag of successes and poor performances. The successes start with winning the Beds county Field championships (Senior freestyle/recurve ) and having the Slightly embarrassing honour of awarding Myself the medal as our club was organizing the tournament...

    Back with a flop...but then...!

First post since the beginning of the outdoor season which proved to be a little disappointing as I had high hopes of reaching the dizzy heights of bowman this year. Alas; it was not to be as I managed to achieve the score only once. I did manage to reduce my handicap by one point which was...

    This year...... maybe! (again...)

Having had a mediocre start to the season there is finally some improvement. I managed to get my first Bowman score at the county champs last year, I'd hoped that this year I would have achieved bowman by now but I have only just managed one BM score to date. While recently checking my bows...

    Rule 307

Now that we can wear almost any colour we like on the line at competitions, it would be interesting to know how many of us will still be wearing our whites & greens during competiton? And.....! what will those who 'opt out' of the traditional dress do with their now redundant whites? What will...

    Mid Season Blues

I seem to be getting in to a bit of a slump shooting wise at the moment mainly due to not being able to attend as many shoots since becoming club county rep plus I've had other things going on like buying a replacement for the ageing family car. All this has eaten into shooting time and...

    A better start than most!

This years indoor season is getting off to a better start than I have ever had with me equalling my Portsmouth and FITA 18 PB's and just last night setting a new PB on the FITA 3-spot face (only by one point though!) I just need to get my Worcester sorted and I'll have the full set. I have...

    Merlin Cams.

To follow on from my last post, Does anyone know of a supplier who might have an old set of cams for a merlin Shadow twin cam, preferably a number two cam set with 'F' or 'G' modules. (I believe they also fit a number of other merlin bows) Failing this is it possible to Retro-fit a newer...

    Not this year, deja vu?

I remember saying this last year when I was chasing 1st class. now I'm saying it again, only this year I'm chasing Bowman!
