    Duplicated text when replying

I have noticed this for a while. I just posted a reply and the text is duplicated. I have edited right away to eliminate the duplicated part (luckyly the forum system allow it) but not everybody does it and I have seen some fairly long posts duplycated now and then.

When/how do you decide to replace a string?

I think you are right (with high end limbs at least) but... You know... I don't have the guts. :) Better safe than sorry. FWIW I remember seeing a recipe to make loops using a string strand instead of serving material. It was for compound yokes (small loops) but it must work for recurve as...

    Competing in a different category

Hello. I have just learned of a local rule here where an archer of an age category can compete in a upper category (age wise). IOW a Cadet may compete with Juniors, Juniors as Adults, Adults as Masters. The former made sense (one could compete in a category technically more difficult than...

    Bohning PreciZion Field Target Quiver

Does anybody have one of these or have seen one live? From the pictures it seems the top pocket may hinder placing the arrows in. If so I will pick other model without the pocket.

How do you store your angel majesty string?

I followed the suggestion to burnish the string and it does get beautifully round. However if I fold it as I usually do with my 8125 strings, strands separate a lot.

How do magnetic arrow rests work?

A small magnet pulls the arm back to the rest position. There are the simpler versions (the magnet is the circle bit to the right): And more sofisticated, that provide easier ways to adjust the arm position, as the Shybuya Ultima and Spigarelly Z/T.

    Limbs Hoyt Grand Prix 720

I am looking for opinions on these limbs. I have searched the Internet but could not find much info (recent at least). I want to assemble a spare bow with the same poundage of my main one, for practice and occasional shot, and I would not like to invest too much. TIA.

    Understanding Easton

I mentioned on that thread an old catalogue states "1 in. minimum" and that has to do with safety. Notice It also states "place where arrow contacts most forward portion of arrow rest" which IMO means the arrow rest arm. So it is variable, i.e. there is not THE correct arrow length. I guess...

    Feathers and camo rules

Some time ago I saw a thread on camo being banned from Archery Org events. Do feathers like the ones bellow qualify as "camo"? I have a lot of them in several colours and I need to refletch my indoor arrows. TIA.

Bow Hand Pressure on the Grip

Hello, Jager grip does not qualify as a standard grip :) unless your riser is made by Sky but in this case they come with the version 2 of the grip. As far as I can tell even the most recent risers from WinWin and Hoyt has flatter surface but not angled. With this grip you are supposed to place...

    HEX-V-H on a 17" Sky riser.

I have a HEX-V-H Mark II, ILF, 40lbs @ 30", long (70" with 25" riser) I am passing along. I have been asked if it can be used with a 17" riser from Sky Archery. If so, what would be the recommended brace height? BTW, how much the poundage is expected to rise? Thank you in advance. Elder.

    String serving tool

I also suspect it is a copy of Bohning by the description. I hope it is clear what to do from the image above, assuming, of course, this droopsnoop is a knock off of the Bohning.

Help wanted: advice on Angel ASB Majesty

Hello, I just received a spool of it and I would like to hear some tips on how to deploy it (FWIW I am used to 8125). As the spool is small, I would like not to waste it with failed attempts if I can. So what I need to know is 1- Number of strands for large (namely g-pin nocks). 2- Length I...

    STRING VIBRATION

You'd better reply instead of editting an old message to keep the natural flow of the thread. The noise may be stopping when you grab the string because the limbs and noise cause also stop. The dowel... can be rotated if you loosen the lateral bolt and the small grub that sits where the...

    Riser WinWin riser manual someone?

Hi, Has any recent buyer of WinWin risers received a manual? My AXT came without any. Any pdf version available somewhere?

Spigarelli Evo II spare adhesive pads

Well, the question is in the title. Any idea if/where I can find these? I have made one with a 3M double face foam but it is a little thicker than desirable for a narrow window riser (SF Forged +) TIA. Elder.
