There appear to be 2 versions of this release aid. The newer model is a little more squared off with some knurling on the grip. The older version did tend to make my fingers sore after 12 dozen arrows but the newer model is a pleasure to shoot. The little jaw moves out of the way cleanly upon release without snagging on the d-loop rope at all. It is easy to replace the spring inside with a weaker/stiffer one although it is difficult to tell the springs apart IMHO. The thumb trigger position is simple to adjust and stays put once you lock it down. Finally, adjusting the travel is simplicity itself.
