This made me laugh.
What is also quite amusing is that this 'change' has been pleaded for and discussed in these pages for the last 6 years at least - now its happened .... will that stop the discussion? Seems not! ;)

Inevitable, really. But actually, all the dressregs threads have truly been about is two things:-
a) Rules that are poorly drafted, and have no basis in safety or common sense...
and
b) Officials who are inconsistent and obviously do not understand the rules they claim to be enforcing
So long as there are examples of either of these in our sport, we will continue to have these threads.

Rule 307 is written in poor English
A 'Plain English' version of the rule is needed It needs to be in the next Archery UK magazine so that every member has the chance to see it (assuming all members are now getting their copy !)

and agreed, though the "poor english" version is in the current issue, and I was surprised to find most members of the club were totally unaware that changes had even been proposed.
