First AGB Field shoot under Covid-19 restrictions.

I'd just like to express my thanks to Overton Black Arrows for running their open field tournament this weekend. Social distancing was kept by having set start times, so that only 3 groups start at once. Each group had a separate practice area, and the shooting pegs were placed to help archers judge the 2m apart. There were also reminders at each target. It was a very well thought out course, with some very tricky shots to challenge the experienced, but the distances on the unmarked were close enough to ensure that novices could still enjoy the day.

I didn't shoot as well as I could have done, but considering I haven't pulled a bow since lockdown began until the club opened again on Tuesday, I'm happy with my performance. I found on Tuesday I couldn't pull my field bow, so shot my spare that I use for target, which is 20lbs lighter than I'm used to, so considering that the first arrow on each target was a ranging shot. I still managed to turn in a respectable score.
