Flat bows in 16/17 th centuries

Anybody know what form flatbows would have taken, would they have had a "riser", what woods, and as laminated longbows came in around then, would they have been laminated?

Er, not exactly helpful, but a valid point I suppose, ok let's try again. "I am fairly certain flatbows would have been used in this period , so is there any evidence for them? " Is that better?

In Richard Wadge's book Arrowstorm I believe he makes reference to a type of bow called a 'Broad Bow' (he supposes it is similar in shape to a 'flat bow') mentioned in a English listing from the 15th C. As I recall, he mentions the possibility of it being a 'elite' bow- seemingly very expensive and on very few lists made from only high quality wood. p188
