glue for leather grips

Hi,
I need to glue my leather grip as it is starting to slide around. Its a varnished wooden handle on a Border AFB bow. Any suggestions for a glue that wont spoil the wood and would be removable in the fullness of time but will hold firm?

Hi, when I make a leather grip for a bow I wrap the handle part wth thin sponge double sided tape (available from craft shops) and then stick the leather to it and finish it off by sewing the front seam. I've done flat bows, longbows, SKB's and even compound bows, all the same way!

Thanks for the idea Bald Eagle. As I didnt want to take the leather right off the bow I addapted your idea and used strips of double sided fletching tape on the lose bits and its worked fine.
