Lubrication?

Hi All,
Has anyone ever experimented with using a lubricant on either a tab face or a string centre serving.

I've shot in the rain - makes the tab slip off the string when you don't want it to on some occasions.

If you use a tab with a leather face the last thing you want on it is talc or any other powder! It dries up the natural oils in the leather, baby oil, neatsfoot oil, even olive oil is good. When I shot recurve I used to rub mine over my bald head every now and then during a competition!!

Makes sense. I used to rub the tab face or fingers on my nose

I know guitarists who do the same or keep a piece of KFC chicken in a small plastic bag in their pocket to stop blisters on there fingers

Grease into your guitar strings - now that's just nasty !
