FITA/Gnas allow any finger position as long as it's the same throughout the competition, IFAA only allow split fingered (Mediterranean) except for cases of physical deformity, and NFAS is Mediterranean only.

Are there any associations that do not allow 3 under with a flatbow?
NFAS - in AFB class is Mediterranean loose only & wood arrows, feather fletched.
Also the bow must be D-shaped when braced so a lot of newer "hybrids" have to shoot in "recurve" classes
such as Hunting Tackle (HT) - med. loose, wood arrows, feather fletches
or Barebow if you're shooting alloys or carbons with 1-anchor point (can be 3 under)
or Freestyle allowing sights, x-walking, etc.

BUT you can always shoot your AFB in any higher (?) class but some may think you're not competing on a level-playing field
as different bows are ascribed different/better shooting characteristics that may/may not compensate for your skill-level.
