Comet Bow

Hi there.

I bought a Comet bow about 15 years ago in the pub, of all places! Its draw weight is 40lbs which is a bit much for me. Can you still get "lower" limbs for this bow? Its number, I think, is BDB 6179, or it could be BRB6179.

Sounds like a "Border Archery" Comet .... & your main option for lighter limbs are:
- watch the auction/sales sites for Border Comet (&/or Argosy) limbs of lower weight;
(or even whole bow if price is right & swap the limbs)
- ask e.g. on here if any existing owner(s) may want to swap limbs;
- sell it & buy something newer with more easily swappable limbs.
The Comet first appeared circa '76 & most prob. discontinued by '98 (if not earlier).
