Club compound advice

I'm looking for some advice here, only having shot a compound about 4 times.

What are peoples opinions on what would be a good club compound? Looking for a wide range of drawlengths/poundages with no change of cams or modules, and preferably with a letoff.

Also any suggestions on a reasonably priced release aid. I know 'reasonably' isn't a price range, but sub ?100ish.

Mass weight might be an issue too, but go mad and throw any suggestions my way

Release aid, wrist release is a good place to start for transferring from recurve and its (usually) quite cheap. Saying that though, I prefer a hand release so would look at getting one of them. Not sure of the name but there is one that has a plastic body which is sub ?100 like you ask.

Merlin do releases at under ?100, one of the new Hoyts has 10" of DL, (the Rukus 18"-28").
